LOS ANGELES - The Hub Network, champions of family fun and the only network dedicated to providing kids and their families entertainment they can watch together, announced today that a new animated series is currently in production for the globally renowned TRANSFORMERS brand. Set to debut in early 2015, the new action-packed series is being produced by Hasbro Studios, the production and distribution division of Hasbro, Inc., and is executive produced by Jeff Kline ("Transformers Prime," "G.I. Joe Renegades").

Taking place years after the battle between Autobots and Decepticons in "Transformers Prime," this all new series centers around our hero Bumblebee stepping up to lead a brand new team of Autobots. The show features an all-star cast with Will Friedle ("Boy Meets World") returning as Bumblebee, along with Darren Criss ("Glee"), Constance Zimmer ("House of Cards") and Ted McGinley ("Married with Children"). Blending 3D characters with hand-painted environments, the series mixes action-packed adventure with lots of comedy, making it a rip-roaring experience for kids and families to enjoy together.

Bumblebee finally gets to be the leader! Hopefully it will go better than in RiD.

They have a picture of what Bumblebee will look like, though not much other information.

Who else do you think they'll bring back? I hope we at least get cameos from all the Prime characters, humans included. Having the rescue bots show up would be nice too.

It says it happens right after TFP and if Bumblebee is the leader (and considering what happened in the end of TFP), Optimus Prime is probably not going to be around, and that makes me very, very disappointed. Sad to say I am not necessarily a huge fan of how this new series sounds like, so far.

But we'll see.

Hoping to see Ratchet, at least.

They'll probably end up bringing him back at some point... Though I'm not really sure if I'd like that. When they did that in G1 it kind of fell a bit flat and messed with the development Rodimus was getting. If they do bring him back in some way, hopefully it will be handled well.
I'm interested to see someone leading other than Optimus. I love him, but I'm curious to see a different guy in charge. I'm also a big Bumblebee fan, so I'm probably a little biased.

I hope we see Ratchet too... He's one of my favorites. I'm also hoping that the kids and Agent Fowler come back.

I'm hoping for more guest appearances and one off character's in general. The style looks like it will be simpler than Prime, so maybe that will be the case!

Neither could I, I'll ask, but for now take it with a grain of salt.

It looks like the third list (the one that includes Prowl) lists Seaspray. I'm pretty sure he's dead. So working off the assumption that this is accurate information, could a lot of those characters (including Ironhide) but only present in flashbacks?

Yeah. Usually these types of "my this-and-that" "knows someone in the production team" or w/e -types of information usually turn out to be false. The amount of false info surfaced so far has already been enough to be suspicious of anything that comes across at this point, if it's not from an official source. :/
